Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef or sausage
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 jar chunky spaghetti sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 large tomato, sliced thin
  • 15 oz. Ricotta cheese
  • 4 c. Mozzarella, shredded
  • 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 1 box lasagna noodles, cooked
  • 3 Tbsp. chopped parsley

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    Brown meat, onions and garlic.

    Drain. Stir in sauce, seasoning and veggies.

    In bowl, mix parsley, Ricotta cheese, 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese and 2 cups of Mozzarella. Begin layering, start with meat sauce, then noodles and then cheese mixture in a 9 x 13 baking dish.

    You should end with noodles on top.

    Take remaining Mozzarella and top.

    Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

    Cover with foil.

    Bake 15 minutes; uncover and bake an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and browning. Let set 10 to 15 minutes before cutting.
