  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 tsp. garlic
  • 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
  • 2 c. water
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tsp. minced parsley
  • 1 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 pkg. lasagna noodles
  • 2 pkg. Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 box cottage cheese
  • 1 tsp. red pepper
  • 1/3 c. Parmesan cheese

Directions

    Brown meat in oil in large frying pan over medium heat, stirring constantly.

    Add garlic, tomato paste, water, onion, bay leaves, parsley, salt and pepper; mix well and cover.

    Simmer 1 hour over low heat.

    Grease 12 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish.

    Cover bottom with 1/3 cooked noodles.

    Put on 1/3 cooked noodles, than 1/3 cooked sauce, then Mozzarella cheese and cottage cheese. Repeat in layers until used up.

    Bake at 375°, until Parmesan cheese on top melts, for 30 minutes.
