  • 1/2 lb. lasagna noodles
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 c. finely chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 3/4 c. (6 oz. can) tomato paste
  • 2 1/2 c. (1 lb. 4 oz. can) tomatoes
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. dried basil
  • 1/2 lb. Ricotta or cottage cheese
  • 1/2 lb. Swiss cheese slices
  • 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. dried oregano

Directions

    Cook noodles in 4 quarts boiling salted water until tender. Stir occasionally while cooking.

    Drain and rinse with hot water. Separate noodles and hang over edge of colander.
