- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 (16 oz) can tomatoes
- 1 (12 oz) can tomato paste
- 1 tomato paste can of water
- 1 Tbsp basil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 Tbsp dried parsley
- 1/4 tsp minced dried garlic
- 2 eggs
- 3 cups small curd cottage cheese
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
- 1 lb sliced mozzarella cheese
- 1 box large lasagna noodles
Directions

1Brown ground beef and drain; add tomatoes, tomato paste, basil, salt, garlic and water, and simmer for 30 minutes.

2In bowl, beat eggs; add cottage cheese, parmesan cheese, parsley and black pepper.

3Cook noodles according to directions on box, drain and rinse.

4In large (9x13-inch) glass baking dish layer noodles, cottage cheese mixture, mozzarella, then meat sauce.

5Repeat the layers and sprinkle with additional parmedan cheese, if desired. Bake at 375° for about 30 minutes, or until bubbly.

6Let sit for at least 15 minutes before serving.
