- 1 lb. Italian sausage
- 1 clove garlic or 1/2 tsp. powder
- 1 Tbsp. basil
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes*
- 12 oz. tomato paste or use 28 to 30 oz. jar Italian sauce, i.e., Ragu
- 10 oz. lasagne noodles
- 2 eggs
- 3 c. Ricotta or dry cottage cheese
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 Tbsp. parsley flakes
- 1 tsp. salt and pepper
Directions

1Brown meat (1/2 sausage and 1/2 hamburger may be used).

2Drain and add to tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, basil and garlic.

3Simmer 15 minutes.

4*Italian sauce may be used.

5Cook 10 ounces lasagne noodles in boiling salted water.

6Combine eggs, Ricotta, Parmesan, parsley, salt and pepper.

7Spread 1 cup sauce in bottom of 9 x 13-inch baking pan.

8Layer 1/3 of noodles over sauce.

9Spread 1/2 of egg mixture, 1/2 pound grated Mozzarella cheese, 1/3 meat mixture.

10Repeat layers, ending with layer of noodles, then sauce. Cover with foil and bake at 375° for 30 minutes.

11Uncover and sprinkle with 1 cup Mozzarella cheese and bake for 10 to 15 more minutes.
