- 4 c. water
- 1 stick cinnamon
- 1 c. rice
- 1 c. sugar (reserve 2 Tbsp. to use with egg white)
- 1 (13 oz.) can evaporated milk
- 1/2 c. raisins
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Bring to a boil the water with the cinnamon stick.

2Add rice (while stirring).

3When it comes to a boiling point again, cover, turn fire low and simmer about 20 minutes or until rice is done.

4Add sugar and cook, uncovered, a minute longer.

5Add evaporated milk and raisins; continue to cook until thick, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking to bottom of pan.
