Ingredients
- 1 small head lettuce
- 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
- 1/2 c. chopped celery
- 1/2 c. chopped red onion
- 1 can sliced water chestnuts
- 1 pkg. frozen peas
- mayonnaise
- sliced tomatoes
- 2 kinds grated cheese
- crumbled, cooked bacon
- hard-cooked eggs, chopped
Directions

1Place ingredients in layers in a low bowl and sprinkle a little salt and pepper as you go.

2Layer lettuce, green pepper, celery, onion, water chestnuts and frozen peas.

3Press peas down tightly.

4Spread a layer of mayonnaise over all.

5Place slices of tomatoes on top of mayonnaise.

6Sprinkle with grated cheeses, then crumble cooked bacon and chopped hard-boiled eggs over top. Refrigerate for 24 hours.
