Ingredients

  • 1 medium head lettuce
  • 1 c. chopped celery
  • 1 c. finely chopped onion
  • 1 c. sliced mushrooms
  • 1 1/2 c. frozen green peas (uncooked)
  • 2 c. mayonnaise
  • dill weed to taste
  • white pepper
  • 6 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
  • 1 1/2 lb. peeled, cooked shrimp
  • 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 lb. bacon, fried and chopped

Directions

    Tear lettuce into bite-size pieces and place in bottom of large glass bowl.

    Top with chopped celery and chopped onion, then chopped mushrooms and peas.

    Top with hard-boiled eggs.

    Blend mayonnaise with dill weed and white pepper.

    Spread over the eggs. Top with cooked shrimp, then grated cheese.

    Put bacon over cheese.

    Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for a few hours or overnight.
