- 8 large leeks (white part only), sliced
- 6 strips lightly cooked bacon
- salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp (15 ml). butter
- pie dough for a 2-crust 9 inch pie
Directions

1Clean leeks thoroughly and slice.

2Pan fry in butter until tender.

3Place leeks in pie shell and top with cooked bacon strips.

4Add salt and pepper.

5Top with another layer of pie dough and poke a few holes in the top with fork.

6Bake at 375 degrees (200 C.) for 30 to 45 minutes.
