- For Pastry
- 4 ounces flour
- 2 ounces fat (I use baking marge or butter)
- 1 pinch salt
- 4 tablespoons water, as required
- For filling
- 1 large cooking apple
- 1 lemon
- 1 egg
- 3 ounces sugar
Directions

1Make pastry.

2Line a 7 inch flan ring.

3Peel and grate the apple, add the sugar and then the grated rind and juice of the lemon.

4Beat the egg.

5Add to the apple mixture and mix- this will curdle- not to worry.

6Pour into tart case and bake for about 35 minutes at 350F/ 170°C.
