- 1 3/4 c. flour
- 1/3 c. powdered sugar
- 1 c. butter (2 sticks)
- 4 eggs
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. lemon juice
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- sugar sprinkles
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Sift together 1 3/4 cups flour and 1/3 cup powdered sugar.

3Cut in butter until mixture resembles cornmeal.

4Press evenly and firmly onto bottom of 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.

5Bake 20 to 25 minutes.

6Beat together eggs, sugar and lemon juice until sugar is dissolved.

7Sift together 1/4 cup flour and baking powder.

8Add to egg mixture and beat at low speed just until blended.

9Pour over baked crust.

10(Crust does not have to cool.
-
11Just add custard and return to oven.)

12Bake an additional 25 minutes.

13Decorate top with sugar sprinkles.

14Cool and cut into squares.

15Makes 24 bars.
