- 4 lemons
- 1/2 lb. butter
- 1 lb. cubed sugar or regular sugar
- 4 eggs, beaten
Directions

1Grate lemon peel on all 4 lemons.

2Place grated lemon peel on sugar, then squeeze lemon juice out of all 4 lemons and pour over sugar.

3Put butter in double boiler. Add sugar with the lemon peel and juice.

4Let sugar melt over hot but not boiling water, stirring, then add beaten eggs, stirring constantly, until it becomes thick. Do not let boil or eggs will become scrambled. Pour into jars and cover at once.
