Ingredients

  • 1 (14 oz.) can Carnation evaporated milk
  • 1 small pkg. lemon jello
  • 1 3/4 c. hot water
  • 1/4 c. lemon juice
  • grated rind of 1 lemon
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 1/2 c. vanilla wafer crumbs
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 small can crushed pineapple, well drained

Directions

    Put milk in refrigerator until icy cold.

    Dissolve jello in hot water until partially set.

    Whip it.

    Add lemon juice, rind, sugar and pineapple.

    Whip chilled milk until stiff.

    Fold in jello mixture.

    Line pan with 1/2 crumbs.

    Pour mixture on this. Sprinkle crumbs on top.
