  • 1 pkg. lemon cake mix
  • 1 (3 oz.) pkg. instant lemon pudding
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 1 c. water
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 c. walnuts, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. poppy seed
  • 6 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon rind
  • 1/2 c. sugar

    Mix the first 7 ingredients in order given, adding one egg at a time.

    Beat well.

    Bake in two (8 x 5-inch) loaf pans (greased and floured) at 350° for 40 minutes.

    Before removing from pans, mix the rest of ingredients and pour over loaves.

    Let set 10 minutes.

    Remove from pans; cool on wire racks.
