  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 7 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 2 c. water
  • dash of salt
  • 3 beaten egg yolks
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1/4 c. pure lemon juice

Directions

    Cook first 4 ingredients until they become clear.

    Add egg yolks, butter and lemon juice; cook until thick. Cool.

    Pour in baked pie crust. Cover with meringue and brown at 300°.
