  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 can (14oz) Eagle Brand sweet ended condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1 baked pie crust
  • 6 egg whites
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract or cream of tartar
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Directions

    Preheat oven 325F.

    Beat egg yolks, gradually beat in sweetened condensed milk & lemon juice.

    Pour into crust.

    Bake 30-35 minutes or until set.

    To make Meringue: Beat egg whites on high really good.

    Add vanilla & sugar.

    Continue to beat on high till a non-glossy look is achieved.

    After pie is cooked, add meringue to top and cook in oven till tips are brown.
