  • 1/2 lb. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 2 3/4 c. sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 c. sweet milk
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. lemon

Directions

    Cream the butter, Crisco and sugar very well. Add eggs (well beaten).

    Add milk and flour. Beat 4 minutes.

    Fold in flavoring. Start in cold oven. Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
