- 3 c. sugar
- 5 eggs
- 3 c. flour
- 2 Tbsp. lemon extract
- 3/4 c. 7-Up
Directions

1Cream the sugar and shortening together and beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well.

2Add flour alternately with lemon extract and 7-Up.

3Begin with flour and end with flour.

4Pour batter into well-greased and floured Bundt pan or tube pan.

5Bake at 325° for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. When thoroughly cooled, sift powdered sugar over cake.
