- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. butter
- 4 eggs, separated
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1/2 c. lemon juice
- 1 c. milk
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Prepare pie crust for a 9-inch pie. Beat 4 egg whites until foamy.

3Add 2 tablespoons sugar slowly. Beat until meringue makes soft peaks.

4Set aside.

5In another bowl, cream butter and remaining sugar.

6Add egg yolks and flour. Beat until smooth.

7Add lemon juice, grated rind and milk slowly. Beat.

8Fold into meringue.

9Pour into pie shell and bake 35 minutes or until top is golden brown.
