  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • butter (size of egg), melted
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • juice and grated rind of 1 lemon
  • 1 c. milk

Directions

    Cream together melted butter, sugar and flour.

    Add yolks of eggs, beaten to a cream.

    Then add juice and grated rind of lemon and milk.

    Add whites of eggs, beaten to a froth.

    Line a 9-inch pie plate with pastry, unbaked and pour in filling.

    Bake 25 minutes at 400°.

    Decrease heat to 350° and bake 10 minutes longer.
