- 3/4 cup sugar
- 4 (4-in.) thyme sprigs
- 4 slices lemon
Directions

1Stir together sugar, 3/4 cup water, the thyme, and lemon in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat. When the first bubbles appear, reduce heat to medium-low and simmer gently 5 minutes. Let cool, then strain. Keeps up to 1 week, chilled.
