- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 large carrots, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 large can tomatoes
- 1 lb. pkg. lentils
- salt to taste
- oil
- 1 stick chopped celery
Directions

1Braise onions, carrots, celery and garlic in the oil. Wash and pick out lentils.

2Put lentils, onions, carrots, celery and garlic in large saucepan and simmer for about 20 to 30 minutes.

3Add the tomatoes that have been chopped or broken up.

4Add salt to taste and simmer another 30 minutes.
