- 1 c. mashed potatoes
- 1 c. shortening (Crisco)
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 3 c. flour (total 7 to 8 c.)
- 3 c. lukewarm potato water
Directions

1Put together in order given, beat until smooth.

2Let set until light and foamy.

3Work in enough flour so it can be handled and kneaded.

4Let rise, work down, pinch off what you need. (Keep the rest in refrigerator until needed.) Shape into any shape of roll you want.

5Put in a greased pan, let rise until double in size (about 1 hour).

6Bake at 400°.

7Can be frozen.
