- 1 1/2 c. diced carrots
- 1 1/2 c. diced onions
- 1 c. diced sweet pepper
- 12 oz. lean ground beef
- 1 lb. ground turkey
- 1 1/2 c. rolled oats
- 2 c. cooked rice
- 1 1/2 c. tomato juice
- 1 1/2 c. fat-free egg substitute
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 tsp. thyme
- 1/2 tsp. hot pepper sauce
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1/4 c. ketchup
- 1/2 c. water
Directions

1Coat a large nonstick frying pan with vegetable cooking spray. Add the carrots, onions and pepper.

2Saute for 5 to 10 minutes. Crumble the ground beef and turkey into a large bowl.

3Lightly toss with the cooked vegetables, oats and rice.

4In a small bowl, combine the tomato juice, eggs, oregano, thyme, pepper sauce and black pepper.

5Add to the meat mix.
