Ingredients

  • 2 c. lime
  • 2 gal. water
  • 14 c. sliced cucumbers, sliced not too thin
  • 2 qt. vinegar
  • 1 tsp. mixed spices
  • 1 tsp. cloves
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 9 c. sugar
  • green food coloring

Directions

    Soak cucumbers 24 hours in lime water. Wash once.

    Let stand 3 hours in cold water. Place cucumbers in mixture of remaining ingredients and let stand 12 hours or overnight.

    Heat 35 minutes in syrup.

    Place in jars and seal. DO NOT BOIL!
