- 8 lb. cucumbers
- 2 c. lime
- 2 gal. water
- 2 qt. vinegar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 11 c. sugar or 5 lb. bag
- 1 or 2 tsp. turmeric
- pickling spice to taste (about 2 Tbsp.)
Directions

1Wash and cut cucumbers in 1/4-inch sliess.

2Soak in water and lime 8 to 10 hours.

3Wash several times to get lime out.

4Put cucumbers in solution made with rest of ingredients.

5Let stand 3 hours.

6Boil in same solution for 30 minutes.

7Put in clean hot jars and seal.
-
8Makes 7 or 8 quarts.
