Lime Sherbet

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon gelatin
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 cups lime soda
  • 3 egg whites, whipped stiff
  • 12 cup almonds or 12 cup pistachio nut, chopped

Directions

    Soak gelatin in two tablespoonfuls of cold water for 5 minutes.

    Add 1/2 cup boiling water and stir until dissolved.

    Cool.

    Add sugar and lime beverage.

    When partly frozen, as thick as mush stage, add egg whites and nuts.

    Freeze.
