- 7 lb. cucumbers
- 2 gal. water
- 2 c. household lime
- 3 pt. vinegar
- 1 tsp. mixed pickling spice
- 4 1/2 lb. sugar (remove 1 c. from 5 lb. bag)
- 1 tsp. mustard seed
- 1 Tbsp. salt
Directions

1Slice cucumbers 1/4-inch thick.

2Cover with water and lime. Let stand 24 hours.

3Rinse well and let stand in clear water for 3 hours.

4Drain well.

5Mix remaining ingredients.

6Pour cold solution over pickles.

7Let stand overnight.

8Simmer 30 minutes; put in jars and seal.
