Linguine With Broccoli

  • 1 bunch broccoli
  • 3 Tbsp. olive or vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 lb. linguine

Directions

    Cut broccoli flowerets off stems.

    Cut stems into bite size pieces.

    (Should make about 6 cups of stem pieces and flowerets.) Steam broccoli for about 5 minutes; drain.

    In separate large pot, bring 4 quarts of water to a boil.

    Cook linguine until cooked through; drain pasta.

    Toss with broccoli.

    Add oil, garlic and pepper to mixture.

    Serve immediately.
