- 1 c. butter or margarine (2 sticks)
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. almond extract
- 3 c. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. raspberry preserves (Smucker's)
- confectioners sugar
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar.

2Blend eggs, extract, flour, salt and baking powder.

3Mix well.

4Chill at least 1 hour before rolling. Roll 1/4-inch and cut with round cutter.

5Cut half again without centers.

6Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350° for 8 minutes. Will look white (do not overbake).

7Cool on wire rack.

8Spread preserves on bottom.

9Sprinkle with confectioners sugar and then put them together.
