  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • milk (enough to form soft dough)
  • sugar
  • jam

Directions

    Mix salt, baking powder and flour.

    Mix and add butter or margarine, sugar and enough milk to form soft dough.

    Roll out to 1/4-inch thickness.

    Spread lightly with butter.

    Sprinkle with sugar.

    Roll up and cut in slices.

    Place in pan.

    Sprinkle with sugar again.

    Add a spoonful of jam to each slice and bake at 400°.
