  • 4 slices bread
  • 1 egg
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • few drops of vanilla

Directions

    Beat egg; add salt, sugar, milk and vanilla.

    Pour into shallow dish; dip bread into mixture and let it absorb as much as possible on both sides.

    Place slices in well-greased pan and put it in hot oven (400°) until dry and brown.

    Nice served with butter and honey.
