- 2 pie crusts (make or buy)
- 4 eggs, slightly beaten, separate whites and yolks
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 c. milk, scalded, heat and skim off
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
Directions

1Prepare pie crust in pie pan.

2Brush with slightly beaten egg whites.

3Combine eggs, sugar, salt and cornstarch.

4Add milk and vanilla; mix well.

5Pour into 2 pie crusts (placed on cookie sheets for support).

6Sprinkle nutmeg on top.

7Bake in oven on 400° for 30 to 40 minutes or until knife inserted comes out clean.

8Cool; serve.
