- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. wheat germ
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 c. raisins
- 1/4 c. chocolate chips
- 1 c. skim milk
- 1/4 c. applesauce
- 1 egg
Directions

1Mix first 8 ingredients in a large bowl.

2In a 2 cup measure, mix milk, applesauce and egg.

3Combine liquid and dry ingredients, mixing just to combine.

4Batter will be lumpy.

5Fill muffin cups that have been sprayed with cooking spray, 3/4 full.

6Bake for 20 minutes at 425°.

7Muffins should be golden brown.

8For children under 4, omit raisins.
