- 1 1/2 cup Macaroni elbows
- 50 grams Butter
- 1 onion- finely chopped
- 1/4 cup Standard grade flour
- 1 tsp English mustard
- 1 tsp Marmite
- 2 cup Milk
- 1 cup Tasty cheddar cheese- grated
Directions

1Cook macaroni following the packet instructions.

2Meanwhile, make the sauce.

3For the sauce, place butter in a saucepan.

4Melt over a lo heat.

5Add the onion and cook for 5 minutes until soft.

6Add the flour and stir constantly for 2 mins.

7Remove pan from heat.

8Stir in the mustard and marmite.
-
9Gradually add the milk to pan, stirring constantly.
-
10Return pan to the heat, stirring until the sauce is thick and comes to the boil.

11Take off the heat and stir in the cheese.
-
12Season with salt and pepper.

13Preheat oven to 180 C. Stir the drained macaroni into the cheese sauce.

14Place in an ovenproof dish and sprinkle with cheese.

15Bake for 20 mins or until golden.

16You can also add ham to the mixture.
