  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 2 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 1/2 c. grated sharp cheese
  • 8 oz. Velveeta cheese
  • 1 lb. elbow macaroni
  • 1/4 c. bread crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine

    Melt margarine in saucepan over low heat.

    Add flour.

    Slowly add milk and cook until thickened.

    Add salt, pepper and cheeses. Continue cooking over low heat until cheeses melt.

    Add to 1 pound cooked, drained elbow macaroni.

    Place in buttered casserole dish. Mix plain bread crumbs with melted margarine and sprinkle over top.

    Bake at 350° until hot.
