- 5 c. flour
- 1 c. Crisco
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 4 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 2 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Combine flour, soda, baking powder, salt and sugar.

2Cut Crisco into flour mix with pastry blender.

3Dissolve yeast in 4 tablespoons warm water.

4Add to dry mixture and add buttermilk. Roll out; cut with biscuit cutter.

5Place on cookie sheets.

6Allow to rest 10 minutes. Freeze. Place in Ziploc bags.

7Use as needed. Bake at 425° for 12 to 15 minutes.

8Makes about 2 dozen.
