- 2 lb. beef sirloin
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 3 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/2 lemon rind, grated
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. powdered ginger
- 2 Tbsp. plum jam
- butter
- 1 tsp. garlic powder or 2 cloves garlic, crushed
Directions

1Cut meat into 1/2-inch strips.

2Mix together ginger, chili powder, garlic and lemon rind.

3Dip meat into mixture and brown in butter.

4Combine sugar, jam, lemon juice, salt and 1 1/2 cups water.

5Add meat and simmer 30 minutes.

6Serve with rice.
