  • 6- 6 1/2oz. cans minced clams
  • 1- 2 oz. bottle real bacon pc.
  • 3- 16 oz. cans diced tomatoes
  • 3- 8 oz. bottles clam juice
  • 3 cups celery finely chopped
  • 3 cups onion finely chopped
  • 6 med. potatoes diced
  • 1 1/2 cups carrots chopped
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried thyme
  • 3 teaspoons salt
  • 3/8 teaspoons pepper
  • 8 cups water
  • 1- 12 oz. can tomato juice

Directions

    Combine all ingredients in large pot. Bring to a boil stirring often. Reduce heat to simmer/low boil for 4-6 hours. You want to cook it until vegetables are tender, and clam taste permeates all ingredients.
