  • 4 slices bacon, cut 1 inch pcs
  • 4 sm. onions, peeled, quartered and sliced
  • 1 c. thinly sliced celery
  • 2 lg. potatoes, pared and cubed (2 c.)
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dry thyme, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (8 ounce.) bottle clam juice
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 (16 ounce.) pkg. frzn cod, thawed and cut 3/4 inch
  • 1 c. (28 ounce.) tomatoes

Directions

    Saute/fry bacon till crisp, drain.

    Stir onions and celery into drippings; saute/fry till soft.

    Stir in potatoes, garlic, thyme, salt, clam juice and water.

    Heat to boiling.

    Cover.

    Simmer 10 min.

    Add in cod cubes, cover.

    Simmer 5 min.

    Stir in tomatoes and heat slowly.
