- 4 whole acorn squash
- 1 c. syrup
- 1/2 tsp. grated nutmeg
- 8 Tbsp. butter
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375°.

2Cut each squash in half lengthwise; remove all strings and seeds.

3Place halves in large baking pan filled with 1/2-inch water.

4Spoon 2 tablespoons syrup into each squash.

5Sprinkle with pinch of nutmeg.

6Cover and bake about 45 minutes.

7Remove from oven and place 1 tablespoon butter in each.
