- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 c. whipping cream
- 1 baked 9-inch pie shell
- 3/4 c. maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tbsp. maple syrup
Directions

1Blend the milk and the cornstarch, the salt and the maple syrup.

2Cook until thickened.

3Add beaten eggs and cook one minute more.

4Stir in butter and pour into shell.

5Whip cream, slowly adding 2 tablespoons maple syrup.

6Spread over cooled pie.

7Top with toasted nuts, such as thinly sliced almonds.
