Maple Flavored Syrup

Ingredients

  • 4 c. white sugar
  • 1/2 c. light brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. corn syrup
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. maple flavoring

Directions

    Combine sugars, corn syrup and water.

    Stir until dissolved, then bring to a boil in a heavy saucepan.

    Cover and boil gently, 10 minutes.

    Do not stir!

    Remove from heat and allow to cool. When cool, add the vanilla and maple flavoring and stir only until mixed.

    Store in the refrigerator.

    Makes about 32 to 36 ounces.
