  • 1/4 lb. butter
  • 1/4 lb. margarine (Fleischmann's unsalted), softened
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 3 c. cake flour
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 c. Hershey's chocolate syrup

Directions

    Bake in 350° oven for 1 hour or until cake comes out dry when tested by straw.

    Mix butter, margarine, sugar and egg yolks together until smooth.

    Sift cake flour and baking powder together and alternate milk and flour.

    Beat egg whites until firm and fold into batter.

    Measure chocolate syrup and then take half of batter and pour in syrup.

    Then put white batter and chocolate, alternating until finished.

    Take spatula and mix to form marble. Bake in 10-inch angel like form.

    Butter form.
