Marbled Pound Cake

  • 1 (2-layer size) pkg. yellow cake mix
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 1/4 c. oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 (3 oz.) pkg. jello (strawberry, raspberry or cherry flavor) or use pudding-included cake mix

Directions

    In large mixer bowl, pour cake mix; add water, oil and eggs. Blend at low speed just to moisten, then beat 3 minutes at medium speed.

    Pour 2/3 of batter into greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.

    Stir gelatin into remaining batter.

    Spoon over plain batter and zigzag a spatula through to marble.

    Bake at 350° for 50 to 55 minutes or until cake springs back when lightly pressed.

    Cool in pan 15 minutes.

    Remove from pan and finish cooling on rack.
