- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1/3 c. margarine
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 5 c. warm water
- 5 lb. flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water.

2Beat together margarine, yeast mixture, sugar, egg and salt.

3Add warm water and beat in flour gradually until dough is stiff.

4Turn onto floured board and knead well until elastic and smooth.

5Cover and let rise until doubled in bulk.

6Shape into loaves or rolls; place in greased pans.

7Cover and let rise until almost double.

8Bake in a 350° oven for 30 minutes for loaves, 20 minutes for rolls.

9Remove from pan and brush with melted butter.
