- 4 cans Progresso tomatoes, crushed
- 4 to 5 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1/4 c. fresh basil
- 1/4 c. olive oil
- 2 cans Progresso tomatoes, pureed
- 1/4 c. fresh parsley
- 2 carrots
Directions

1Over low heat, heat the oil. Add the garlic and parsley and brown, being careful not to burn.

2Add 4 cans of crushed and 2 cans of the pureed tomatoes. Add the basil.

3Chop up one of the carrots into tiny pieces and throw it into the sauce.

4Peel and place the second carrot in the sauce to absorb the acid from the tomatoes.

5Simmer over low heat for 4 to 6 hours. Discard the whole carrot and serve the sauce with your favorite pasta. Remaining sauce can be frozen for later use.
