Marinated Chinese Vegetables

Ingredients

  • 1 can French-style green beans
  • 1 can sliced water chestnuts
  • 1 can Chinese mixed vegetables
  • 1 small jar pimento
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 1 can English peas
  • 1 can sliced mushrooms
  • 1 bunch green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 c. red vinegar wine
  • 1/2 c. white vinegar wine
  • 1 c. sugar
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Drain all vegetables and mix in a bowl.

    Heat all vinegar wines, sugar and salt and pepper to taste.

    Heat until sugar is melted.

    Pour over vegetables.

    Refrigerate 24 hours and stir during this time.

    Keep in a bowl with lid.

    This is very good and lasts up to two weeks.
