Marinated Mushrooms

  • 1 qt. small fresh mushrooms
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 2 pkg. Italian dressing mix
  • salad oil
  • 1 qt. water
  • juice of 1 small lemon
  • white wine or champagne vinegar

Directions

    Wash mushrooms quickly under running water.

    Remove stems and drain.
  3. 3
    Bring a kettle of water, enough that will cover the mushrooms, to a boil.

    Add the salt and lemon juice.
  5. 5
    After water comes to a boil, take off heat and dump in mushrooms.

    Let them remain for 5 minutes.
