Marinated Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • dash of Tabasco
  • 1/3 c. ketchup
  • 1/3 c. vinegar
  • 1 c. salad oil
  • thin slices of white onion
  • green shrimp, frozen and deveined
  • bay leaves

Directions

    Mix sugar, salt, dry mustard, Tabasco, ketchup, vinegar and salad oil together.

    Soak thin slices of white onions in ice water while boiling green shrimp.

    Place a layer of onion, layer of shrimp and layer of bay leaves.

    Pour sauce over (continue in layers).

    Use wide-mouth jar to store.

    Refrigerate; will keep indefinitely.
